START AGAIN MONDAY
8/2/21
Welcome to Start Again Mondays
Alrighty…
Start again
Something I’m watching
When I woke up on Sunday morning
I thought about when next I would be on set
My stomach churned
I felt a deep pang of dissonance
Simply thinking about being on set brought up a fearful reaction
(the amazing power of a thought - sending my body into a state of survival)
Curious
When I was working up in Byron Bay last year
I was in a bath tub hunched over the evening before we began filming
Ive found this to be quite a common reaction the night before I begin a new job
I use to judge it
Thinking it was a bad thing, that it was wrong
Ive spent the last 5 years learning otherwise
So here are some lovely clips I like to watch to remind myself how normal my fears are…
DiCaprio talking about anxiety on the set of Wolf of Wall Street
Around the 11:50 mark, its about 45 seconds long:

Mike Tyson (known as the “baddest man on the planet”) crying before a fight
It’s about 2 minutes long:

Hope this helps x
Quote I’m considering
“I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy”
Philip Seymour Hoffman on winning an Oscar
mmm
Curious
