I grew up in Africa, chasing vervet monkeys around my backyard.
I got into NIDA at 18, which made me realise I could make a living from playing dress ups.
I achieved my dream at 25 (lead at the Sydney Opera House), it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I realised I had no idea how to handle pressure or take ownership of my performance. I started working with some of the best acting and mindset coaches in the world and turned things around. A few years later I was nominated alongside my heroes (I wrote about it here).
People noticed some changes with the way I was handling acting and performing under pressure and began asking for guidance. So I started helping artists, athletes and corporates find comfort in the chaos. Now, when I’m not giving my own performance on set, I love helping others with theirs.
I deleted all my social media in 2014.
I was a part-time carer for a friend who ate a slug, causing him to become paralysed. Sambo sadly passed away after a 9 year battle.
I have a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I live in a cabin (with two rocking chairs) overlooking Maroubra Beach, possibly the greatest whale watching location in Australia.
Here’s my acting bio.
